Child Protection
Child protection is our highest priority. The Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA) is our multi-academy trust and has overall responsibility for the safeguarding and protection of children in our schools.
The school is particularly mindful of our responsibilities around the national issues of radicalisation, all exploitation including sexual exploitation and female genital exploitation.
Our school has a designated safeguarding lead who has responsibility for this. Details can be found within the school Safeguarding Handbook. Click below for the links to the documents:
The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the school is Shona Riddell (Head teacher)
The Deputy Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) for the school are Sophie Whittington(Deputy Head Teacher) Emma Wale (SENCo) and Anna Almond (Pastoral Room Lead).
If you have a concern or if you feel you are in need of support you can speak to any of the DSLs. Please be aware that, if we have any concerns, we will speak to parents about these, unless doing so would put children at risk of immediate harm.
All senior leaders within the alliance of schools are available to advise on safeguarding issues and to take immediate action if a child is deemed at risk in the absence of the designated safeguarding leads.
Parents can also contact social services if they feel a referral should be made. The contact number is 01452 426565. If a child is at immediate risk of harm you should always contact the police.
