Safeguarding
Springbank Primary Academy and Little Learners are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, our Safeguarding Policy, along with our Early Help Offer, can be accessed below and other relevant policies can be found on the GLA Trust website.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that any concerns about a child are discussed with their parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.
We actively support the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism. Our staff are trained on identifying a child who may be at risk of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and/or have been subject to FGM. We understand that in both situations an immediate response to the police is vital.
